I was morbidly obese on my first day of bootcamp (see photo). Difficult words to write, but at 5’4” and 251 pounds, it was the truth. My best friend was having the latest lap band surgery and really wanted me to join her. I considered it, but I really wanted to give exercise and healthy eating one more try.
I began bootcamp April 2006 and have not stopped yet. My weight has came off slow but consistent. I have lost 49 pounds so far; I am now ‘just obese’. (See after photo).
Most times I am the last person in class but I am good with that. It means I showed up! Karen has always been there to cheer me on, give me other exercises when I could not keep up (in a discreet way) and pushed me to limits I thought I could not achieve.
DO NOT think you cannot do bootcamp if you are very overweight. I could barley walk around the track but now I can jog. Karen has also given me direction with my caloric needs and helped me with my food choices.
So for now I take 1 day at a time, trying to make most good choices along the way. Check back and I hope to have an updated photo of me being "just overweight"! :)

The boot camp changed what I do and put into my body. I eat better and I actually enjoy working out now. The first week of the boot camp I could barely run 2 laps let alone a mile. Now after 4 weeks of training I can run a mile and a half. I have lost inches, gained endurance | and serious muscle in my arms. My attitude is better and my husband says I look great. I feel great and look forward to future boot camps.

My workouts consisted of a daily workout routine, and routine it was! I needed something completely different from my current regimen that would motivate and inspire me while pushing me to my limits and allowing for fun at the same time. Adventure Boot Camp was precisely what I needed and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. I implore anyone reading this testimonial to give the boot camp a try. You won’t regret it!

Boot Camp! What can I say... It has changed my life. I became friends with the ladies, along with the trainers, and there is such camaraderie that I actually started looking forward to getting up at 4:30am everyday. I used muscles that I never even knew I had. It is a total fitness, full body workout. I am 46 years old and feel better than I have in years. It was the best decision I have ever made and worth every penny I have spent, and then some. I can't wait for the next one!!!!

"I just wanted to take this time to say how much I enjoy your class! This is my first boot camp, and I was unsure how good I would be at working out at 5am every morning, but it has been great so far! The only class I've missed has been because I was up working on a project, and not because I slept in! I think your class has been challenging and interesting, as we haven't done the same thing twice yet to where the class is repetitive and boring. I've started to notice changes in my body and fitness level, and hopefully will reach my goals soon.
