Camp 2How often will we meet?

Camps are 4 weeks long. Participants will meet for one hour during the four-week fitness program. All participants will be expected to arrive on time. Campers have a choice of attending 3, 4 or 5 days a week depending on the location.

Camp 3What time do we meet?

There are early morning, mid-morning and evening classes available.
Each location is different though most early morning classes start at 5am, mid-morning at 8:30am and evening classes at 6:30pm.  But please check your location because some start times vary.

How do I register if I signed up for an online group deal?

If you signed up for a group deal online, simply register for the class you want to attend and choose the "redeem" option that applies to your deal.  Then email us your voucher number at HoustonAreaBootCamp@yahoo.com

What happens if it rains?

Your boot camp instructor will provide specific instructions for handling rain days. On most days, we will still work out unless there is lightning. You should never assume boot camp is canceled. Always call your instructor to make sure.

Camp 4Can I attend any location?

You will register for a "home location" but we are flexible in allowing you to attend any location.  Just email us to let us know when and where you need to switch so we can inform the trainer at that location.

Are there shower facilities, or a place I can get ready for work?

You can always use such facilities as the YMCA, 24 Hour Fitness, Bally's etc., in the area if you have a membership at any of these clubs. Since boot camp is held primarily outside, we do not offer shower facilities.

What if I sign up for the three-day plan and then want to do all 20 days of the camp?

This actually happens often that a person starts with three days per week. They have so much fun, they ask to do all the days. You will simply be prorated from the point you decide to join us for all the days.

Camp 5Will I be sore sometimes?

Camp will include a combination of cardio and strength training. Each individual will work at their level but will be pushed to their individual limits.

Most people feel some soreness for the first 2-3 days. After that point, it is slight to moderate. It's part of the process that lets you improve!

What kinds of people go to camp?

They are people just like you. Someone who needs a little push to jump start their fitness and wellness program. Most campers have some history of exercise, but it's not required…remember, ALL FITNESS LEVELS ARE ACCEPTED and ENCOURAGED!

Is there a refund policy?

We can only give you a credit towards another boot camp if you are unable to continue with the one you began because of circumstance beyond your control. This credit is nontransferable. Credit is not given towards private training. There is no cash refund.

What should I eat before boot camp?

You should try to eat at least 2 hours before coming to boot camp if possible.  However, if you are attending the 5am sessions, it would be best not to eat before coming to boot camp (unless you get up at 2:30am).  Eating right before coming to boot camp can cause cramping or a heavy feeling in the stomach.  If you must eat a little something, try drinking an Advocare Spark Energy Drink or Rehydrate Drink before class or having a little bit of fruit or piece of toast.

What is a typical day like at camp?

That's difficult to say since each day is intentionally different to alleviate boredom. You can expect, yoga/pilates-type mat work, some running (no more than one mile at a time during the AM Boot Camp), weight training, obstacle courses, and jumping rope each week. On special days, we may go hiking and play sports-related games. It's always an adventure, and you'll always have fun! The instructors teach you a great deal about proper form and "core stability."

Camp 6How soon will I see results?

Performance improvement can take place in as little as three days. "Visual Improvement" can take from two to four weeks depending on your effort level. It's becoming common to see as much as 3-8 pounds of weight loss after the first week. Remember, everyone is different!

What if my friend wants to join after I have started?

We have a "bring a guest day". Invite your family and friends who want to give boot camp a try. Please inquire about which days you can bring someone to visit with us. For late registration, we can prorate the remaining days with a small penalty fee.

What will I do after camp is over?

Many (up to 75%) of the campers return for subsequent camps (you'll quickly become part of the family).
